Festival At a Glance!
Registration Fee
$35 per theater, per show
What’s Included
Registration includes festival admission for up to six (6) total cast and production team members per show, plus access to a casual post-show gathering with snacks and drinks.
Additional Participants
For shows with more than six participants, additional cast or production team members may add onto the team registration for $5 per person.
Multiple Show Submissions
Theaters may submit more than one show for consideration and should rank submissions in order of preference. Each theatre is guaranteed one production through the February 15 registration deadline. After that date, additional productions may be accepted if space allows.
Audience & Guests
Non-participating audience members may attend the festival for $15, which also includes admission to the post-show gathering.
Saturday = Show Day
All performances take place on Saturday, March 14 beginning at 1:00pm (check in begins at 12:30)! End time to be determined based on number of entries. Performance order will be determined by random draw.
Saturday Night Celebration
Wrap up the festival with a relaxed short social gathering Saturday evening after the final session featuring snacks and drinks.
Festival Rules
1. Keep it FAST!
Shows are limited to 20 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes total for setup and strike.
2.Simple Set-Up
WACT will provide one table and four chairs. Each theater may bring one additional set piece.
3.Lights Provided, Sound Is Yours
The standard light plot will be used for all performances. Sound design and playback are the responsibility of each theater.
4. No Rehearsal Time On Site
There will be no time allotted for rehearsals prior to performance.
5. No Adjudication - Just Great Conversation
There will be no formal adjudication. Instead, each performance will be followed by a moderated discussion.
6. Open to Community Theaters
FASTFest is open to all community theaters, WACT members and non-members alike. We’d love for you to consider becoming part of WACT, but it is not required for participation in Fast*Fest! Check out wact.org for easy membership registration and more information.
7. AACT Guidelines Apply
All performers and technicians must meet AACT Festival Guidelines (non-paid, non-Equity).
8. Standard Festival Rules
Except as noted above, all AACT Festival Rules apply.
