Policies for VACT 2026-27 Season Classes, Camps, and Workshops for Youth and Adults
(August 2026-August 2027 (including summer 2027))

  • These procedures are subject to change. All updates will be found on this page. (last updated 8/9/26)

VACT Student Grade Participation Policy

  • All workshops, camps, and classes for the 2026-27 season are based on the grade of the participant in the the 2026-27 school year.

  • This includes all school year and summer 2027 camps and classes.

  • Workshop, camp, and class participants must register for the workshop/camp/class that aligns with their grade for the 2026-27 school year, regardless of the their experience, interest, age, or scheduling considerations.

  • We will not allow participants to attend a workshop/camp/class higher than their grade for the 2026-27 school year.

  • Please contact the VACT Education Department at education@vact.org if a participant wishes to attend a workshop/camp/class for a grade lower than their grade for the 2026-27 school year, but there are no exceptions for attending a workshop/camp/class for a higher grade.

VACT Lobby Area

  • The VACT lobby is open to families and others who would like to wait on-site during school-year classes. Classrooms and the theater are reserved for class participants only.

    • Children who are not participating in a class must remain under the close supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.

    • Because classes are in session throughout the building, we ask everyone waiting in the lobby to keep noise to a minimum and ensure that children do not run or roughhouse in the lobby area.

    • At times, the lobby may be used as additional class space for participants to work in small groups or practice. If this happens, we may ask those waiting to relocate to another area of the lobby. Thank you for your flexibility!

Additional Policies

Electronic Device Policy: Cell phones and other electronic devices must be turned off and kept out of sight, unless special arrangements have been made with the education staff (Please contact the VACT Education Department at education@vact.org to make these arrangements).

Behavior Policy:

  • We expect that participants taking classes at VACT are agreeing to participate in and contribute to a safe, respectful, and collaborative learning environment.

  • We do not have the capacity to support participants who require one-on-one assistance or attention in order to be a part of class, but we are happy to discuss options for families to provide their own additional support for a participant to determine if that will allow a participant to be part of a workshop/camp/class. Please reach out to the VACT Education Department at education@vact.org to discuss.

We thank all of our VACT participants and families in advance for adhering to our policies.

Participation in VACT programming is contingent on agreeing to the requirements set for each activity. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the VACT Education Department at education@vact.org
