VACT Scholarships

VACT is pleased to offer three scholarship programs for students engaged in the arts, including visual arts, music, technical theater, theatrical writing, drama, and dance.

1) BIPOC Application Assistance Program

This program provides a combination of mentorship and financial assistance to teens of color who have participated in VACT programs and are in the process of applying to and selecting colleges, training, or trade programs.

2) Senior Scholarship

This scholarship supports graduating high school seniors who are continuing their education at a postsecondary institution. Students are not required to pursue an arts-related field of study. Individual scholarship awards will not exceed $1,000.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

  1. Must be a current graduating high school senior.

  2. Must have participated on stage or behind the scenes with VACT.

  3. Must be actively involved in the arts, either at school or in the community.

  4. Must complete and submit the full scholarship application, letters of recommendation, and a personal essay by March 15.

3) Arts-Related Summer Scholarship

The Arts-Related Summer Scholarship is intended to support current high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who are actively engaged in the arts and looking to continue growing through a summer camp experience. Scholarships of up to $750 are awarded to help make these opportunities more accessible.

Please note: This scholarship is ONLY for high school freshman, sophomore, or juniors who wish to attend an arts related summer camp outside of VACT. VACT also provides financial assistance for VACT’s summer camps for K-8th grade. Information about financial assistance for our K-8 summer camps can be found HERE.

Arts-Related Summer Scholarship Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Applicant must be a current freshman, sophomore, or junior in high school.

  2. Applicant must have participated with VACT in at least one production, either on stage or behind the scenes.

  3. Applicant must complete and submit the application and a personal essay by March 15.
