Open to current High School Students!
Join us for a series of drop in Dance Workshops, for current high school students. Take one or take them all!
All classes run on Saturday mornings from 9am-10am

Classes are $12 each.
You do not need to come to every class! Register for as many or as few as you would like!
Classes need a minimum of 4 participants to run
Classes are held at the Verona Area Community Theater Building (103 Lincoln Street, Verona).

Saturday, October 31st 9-10am
Spooky Jazz (All Levels)
Price: $12
For dancers currently in Grades 9-12
Get into the spooky spirit with this high-energy jazz workshop! Designed for high school dancers, this class will explore sharp movements, dynamic choreography, and eerie style to bring a hauntingly fun routine to life. Perfect for dancers looking to challenge themselves, learn something new, and add a little Halloween flair to their dancing!

Intermediate/Advanced Tap
Price: $12
For dancers currently in Grades 9-12
Take your tap skills to the next level in this intermediate/advanced workshop! Dancers will explore more complex rhythms, intricate footwork, and challenging combinations while building speed, precision, and musicality. Designed for experienced tap dancers ready to push their technique and show off their skills! Dancers must provide their own tap shoes, but you may also choose to dance in non tap shoes.

For dancers currently in Grades 9-12
Take your hip hop skills to the next level in this intermediate/advanced workshop! Designed for experienced high school dancers, this class will focus on dynamic choreography, musicality, precision, and performance quality. Dancers will be challenged to push their technique, explore their personal style, and bring confidence and energy to every movement!

Intermediate/Advanced Broadway Jazz

For dancers currently in Grades 9-12
Take center stage in this intermediate/advanced Broadway jazz workshop! Designed for experienced high school dancers, this class will explore dynamic jazz technique, theatrical choreography, and expressive performance inspired by musical theater. Dancers will be challenged to refine their technique, strengthen their stage presence, and bring character and personality to every movement!

Beginner Tap

For dancers currently in Grades 9-12
Step into the world of tap dance! This beginner-friendly workshop is perfect for high schoolers looking to learn the basics of tap, including fundamental steps, rhythms, and combinations. No prior tap experience is needed, just bring your energy and get ready to make some noise! Dancers must provide their own tap shoes, but you may also choose to dance in non tap shoes.

Get moving in this beginner-friendly hip hop workshop! Designed for high schoolers, this class will introduce foundational hip hop steps, rhythms, and choreography while building confidence, coordination, and personal style. No prior experience is needed, just bring your energy and get ready to dance!

Beginner Broadway Jazz

For dancers currently in Grades 9-12
Step into the spotlight with this beginner-friendly Broadway jazz workshop! Designed for high schoolers, this class will introduce foundational jazz technique and theatrical choreography inspired by musical theater. Dancers will build confidence, explore performance skills, and learn to bring character and personality to every movement. No prior experience is needed!
Janelle McGhee
Janelle McGhee has been working with students of all ages for most of her life and has taught a wide variety of classes including ballet, tap, jazz, creative movement, and theater. She has worked with students from preschool to adults and everything in between. Janelle has her BS in Elementary Education from University in Pennsylvania. Soon after graduating, she moved to Madison and was introduced to VACT and the opportunity to help with the K-2 musicals as a choreographer and camp co-teacher. After a handful of years away from Madison, she is happy to be back and teaching VACT classes again!
