VACT Scholarships

VACT is proud to offer three different Scholarship Programs for students actively involved in the fine arts. This includes the visual arts, music, drama, dance, tv/radio, or technical areas in the theater.

1) BIPOC Application Assistance Program

This program provides a combination of mentorship and financial assistance to teens of color who have participated in VACT programs and are in the process of applying to and selecting colleges, training, or trade programs.

2) Senior Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to assist graduating seniors who intend to continue studying at a college or university. Students are not required to major in the fine arts, but preference is given to those who continue some type of active participation in the arts while at school. Scholarships will not exceed $1000.00 each.

Requirements:
1. Current senior
2. Must have participated (on stage or behind the scenes) at one time or another with the Verona Area Community Theater.
3. Must be actively involved with the fine arts at school or in the community.
4. Complete an application packet and return it by April 1.

3) Camp Scholarship

The camp scholarship is designed to assist a current freshman, sophomore or junior planning to further his or her studies in the fine arts by attending a summer camp. Scholarships will not exceed $300.00.

Requirements:
1. Current freshman, sophomore or junior.
2. Must have participated (on stage or behind the scenes) at one time or another with the Verona Area Community Theater.
3. Must be actively involved with the fine arts at school or in the community.
4. Complete an application packet and return it by April 1.
5. Depending upon the number of applications, this scholarship may require an audition or demonstration of one’s talent.
