Verona Area Community Theater, Inc. offers the Verona, Wisconsin area community opportunities to participate in and enjoy all facets of community theater. The mission for VACT, Inc. is to support productions and projects that augment and enhance the artistic experience for all who participate whether on stage, behind the scenes or in the audience. These productions are understood to be occasions to refine skills, learn new ones, and have fun. It is an organization goal to offer affordable access to theater to the wider community and to provide educational activities for Verona area residents in all aspects of staging theatrical productions. |

GREASE Tickets | ||||
| February 4, 2012-- Tickets are now on sale for our Youth Production of Grease. Dates for this show are April 19, 20, and 21th at 7:30 p.m.. Performances will be held at Oregon High School in the Performing Arts Center located at 456 North Perry Parkway in Oregon. Ticket prices are $12.00 for Adults and $8.00 for Students and Seniors. See the VACT Tickets Page for all the ways to order tickets and for directions to the Oregon High School PAC for performances. | ||||

Encore! Auditions | ||||
| February 2, 2012-- Auditions for the VACT summer production, Encore! 2012, will be Wednesday and Thursday, April 11th & 12th at the VACT Rehearsal Building (not the High School), beginning with children at 6:30 p.m. Please prepare 30 seconds or less of a song to sing for your audition. It does NOT have to be from the show, and if you plan to use the accompanist, please bring your own music. Be prepared to learn and perform a brief dance audition. Auditions for children will begin at 6:30, and music and dance auditions for adults will start when the children are done. Rehearsals will begin April 23 and be Mondays - All Call, Tuesdays - Tap Only and Wednesdays - Small Group, Solos and Dance. Show dates are June 22 - 30, 2012. Encore! 2012 is a musical revue, presented in a concert format, of all the best music from VACT shows from 2003-2011. Check out the Previous Productions page to see the list. | ||||

High Society to be Fall Project Show | ||||
| January 10, 2012 -- The VACT Board of Directors has chosen High Society for the Fall 2012 production. Marsha Heuer will direct. Watch the website for audition information around August. Based on the Philip Barry play The Philadelphia Story and the 1956 musical screen adaptation with Cole Porter's songs, High Society, the plot centers on pretentious Long Island socialite Tracy Lord, who is planning a June 1938 wedding to an equally pretentious executive when ex-husband Dexter Haven arrives to disrupt the proceedings. Additional comic complications arise when tabloid reporter Mike Connor, who is there to cover the wedding, also falls for the bride-to-be. | ||||

VACT Board | ||||
The VACT Board of Directors meets monthly. Members are always welcome to attend.
The next meeting is Monday, February 13, at 7:00 PM at the
VACT Building, 405 Bruce Street.
MEMBERSHIP| Become a member of VACT! Membership entitles you to vote at the annual meeting for the new
Board of Directors and for the Winter and Summer productions (see article elsewhere). There
are only two requirements for membership. First you have to have been involved, in some way,
in a VACT production in the previous year and, second, you have to be 17 or older. Students
16 years and younger can be "apprentice members" and attend meetings and serve on committees,
but are not entitled to vote. Membership dues are $5 for an individual and $10 for a family.
Family membership entitles all qualified members (17 and older and in a previous year
production) to vote. If you are not able to come to the annual meeting, but would like to
be a member, you can download the handy membership form.
